Who We Are
Why We Started
Onboard was founded after seeing our technician and engineering colleagues toil through data integration and data modeling, in order to improve building systems. Thousands of hours were being wasted; we knew AI and software automation could solve this problem. Today, we have reaized this vision.
Awards
Onboard is the sole recipient of 2 U.S. Department of Energy Awards, receiving $2M+, for our novel use of AI to solve data interoperability in buildings. We are the recipient of 2 Massachusetts Awards, receiving $300K+, for our Technology Innovation, and the Winner of the $25K DeltaClime Competition.
Our Deployments
Onboard's software is active in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore and India. In addition, Onboard's API has supported researchers in more than 25 countries through our hackathon events. Onboard is capable of operating anywhere BACnet or Modbus networks exist.

Our expertise includes software engineering, mechanical engineering, data science and building science. Combined, our team has more than 30 years experience in building technology and more than 20 years in launching new software and hardware technologies.
